On Monday morning, a fatal accident occured at 6.20am on the N3.

An accident on the Route de Thionville has tragically claimed the life of a motorcyclist, according to initial reports.

The Grand-Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) confirmed that the victim, a 39-year-old man, died at the scene of the crash.

Forensic police were called in to investigate the circumstances leading to the fatal accident. The motorist involved in the collision was reportedly unharmed, according to the CGDIS.

As investigations continue, the road remains closed to traffic.
