Sam Steen spoke to Paul Heber from Unicef Luxembourg about their newly launched support initiative, which features collaborations with influencers and well-known faces from the music world.

For this edition of The Sam Steen Show, our friends at Today Radio welcomed Paul Heber from Unicef Luxembourg.

Along with their ongoing efforts in raising funds and supporting humanitarian work in Lebanon and elsewhere, Unicef have just launched a new mental health initiative called 'Net Eleng / Not Alone'. It features collaborations with influencers and familiar faces from Luxembourg's music scene like Chaild, Maz and Edsun, to name a few.

Mental health is still a stigma in today's society, and with the rise in violence and conflict all over the world, children and teens might need help more than ever. The campaign is all about breaking the silence around youth mental health issues, especially in schools.

With easy-to-implement tips and practical coping strategies, this campaign shows how everyday challenges and stress can be addressed. Remember: you don't have to struggle alone, and it's okay to ask for help.

The website is in English and Luxembourgish and was “developed by youths for youths”. Unicef Youth Ambassadors or other professional mental health support organisations - like the Kanner a Jugend Telefon, an anonymous phone hotline - are available to provide help, just one click away.

The website has a dedicated ‘Find help’ section showing a range of contact points in Luxembourg where people can seek assistance.
