In an effort to address the issue of teacher burnout in Luxembourg, the National Teachers' Union has launched a new campaign featuring adhesive labels with urgent messages.
The National Teachers' Union (SNE/CGFP) has launched a campaign featuring adhesive labels to raise awareness about teacher burnout in Luxembourg. According to SNE President Patrick Remakel, lawmakers must find quick solutions to address the growing concerns.
The SNE has described the current state of school staff as critical. Their campaign, titled "Stop," will distribute a different sticker to schools across Luxembourg each week for the next four weeks. These stickers will convey messages such as "Stop, inclusion has its limits," "Stop, our health is at stake," and "Stop with the administrative bottleneck."
This initiative was prompted by the union's recent meeting with Minister of Education Claude Meisch, during which they presented their demands. The SNE is now awaiting a response from the Minister.
Remakel emphasised that the situation is untenable, stating, "We urgently need far-reaching changes and courageous reforms in the interest of both teachers and students." He added that the teaching staff expects prompt solutions and improvements from the Ministry. The next steps of the campaign will depend on the Minister's response, according to Remakel.

In related news, the LuxDidac event will take place from Tuesday, 8 October, to Thursday, 10 October, at the cultural centre in Bonnevoie. Approximately 20 national and international exhibitors will showcase didactic learning materials for primary and secondary education. The event, organised by the Feduse Enseignement union and the SNE, will feature training sessions and a conference focused on the mental health and well-being of teachers.
