LSAP Wiltz has announced the stepping down of Frank Arndt, who will be replaced by Tessa Küntsch in the local council.
Fränk Arndt has been an active member of politics in Wiltz since 2000, either as local councillor, deputy mayor, and even as mayor from 2009-2023. On a national level, from 2013-2018, he represented the LSAP (the Luxembourg Socialist Workers’ Party) in the Chamber of Deputies.
At the last communal elections in Wiltz, the LSAP's votes declined from 45.45% to 38.58%. A deciding factor could have been the investigation against Fränk Arndt, for illegal taking of interests and corruption, among influence peddling and violations of the nature conservation laws.
Next one the election list was Tessy Küntsch, who had already communicated to the party that she would take over the position as local councillor. Test Küntsch is 54-year-old mother and president of the LSAP seat in Wiltz.
