Thousands of aviation enthusiasts are gathering at Findel Airport this weekend as the Luxembourg Defence Open Air Days offer a rare chance to explore the nation's military aircraft.

The Luxembourg Defence Open Air Days are underway this weekend, offering the public an up-close look at the country's military aircraft, including the iconic A400M.

Held at Findel Airport, the event features an extraordinary display of Luxembourg's air capabilities, with all 6,000 available spots for the event quickly booked by those eager to see the army's aircraft. The A400M, operated jointly by Luxembourg and Belgium, is a central attraction, along with the A330 tanker aircraft.

Visitors also have the chance to see a range of other military equipment, including the Belgian Lockheed F-16 fighter jet, the Airbus H145M helicopter, and the Beechcraft BE350 ISR reconnaissance aircraft.

"Experts and military personnel responsible for operating these aircraft will be available to answer technical and practical questions from the public," the army announced.
