With the 2024 Schueberfouer nearing its conclusion, Charel Hary, president of the Fairground and Stall Operators Association, emphasised the event's enduring popularity, noting that there is a reason why Schueberfouer is known as the largest funfair in the Greater Region and a "big family fair." He highlighted the significant number of visitors this year and the "mostly" favourable meteorological conditions.
Incident-free event
Hary also pointed out that the event passed without any major incidents, a fact the association is "proud" of. He noted that police were present throughout the duration of the fair.
Laurent Schwaller, Head of the Public Space, Festivals, and Markets Department at the municipality of Luxembourg City, shared a similar assessment, describing the 2024 edition as another success. Visitor numbers, Schwaller said, were comparable to those of 2023.
According to Schwaller, new attractions were well-received, and many attendees appreciated the return of classic rides. "We received a lot of positive feedback," he added.
Final day festivities
The Schueberfouer will remain open until Wednesday evening, concluding with a fireworks display at 10pm.
