Efforts to secure a second landing site for Luxembourg's rescue helicopter service in the north continue, with CGDIS (Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps) and the municipality of Troisvierges holding recent discussions.

These discussions form part of a broader initiative to develop a new fire station and heliport in the region. However, according to Health Minister Martine Deprez and Interior Minister Léon Gloden, the meeting produced no tangible outcomes. The ministers confirmed that the current landing site near Ettelbrück Hospital will remain in use, irrespective of whether a new heliport is established in the Éislek region.

The primary criteria for selecting the location of the rescue helicopter hangar are accessibility and availability, both in terms of field proximity and operational coverage. The possibility of a second landing site in the north was raised by DP deputy André Bauler, who questioned the CSV ministers on the matter.
