As of 9am on Tuesday, people can register online for a meeting with Pope Francis, who is set to make an official visit to Luxembourg on 26 September.
During the papal visit on Thursday, 26 September, a meeting at 4.30pm with the Luxembourg Catholic community will be held in the cathedral's courtyard, where a tent will be set up for the occasion. The event programme includes singing and prayer and will kick off at 3pm.
Anyone wishing to take part in this meeting can register online as of 9am on Tuesday. Registrations can be made until 5pm on 5 September. There are currently just over 600 places available, so if there are more registrations, the guests will be chosen by lot.
And as more than 3,600 people had registered for the historic visit within the first hour, it looks as though the draw will in fact have to be made.
RTL will be present throughout the entire visit and will broadcast the highlights of the day, including the Pope's reception at Findel in the morning, the audiences at the Grand Ducal Palace, a ceremony at Cercle, the passage through the city with the Pope's mobile, and the celebration in the cathedral.
