On late Wednesday evening, the police controlled traffic near the Schuman roundabout in the city centre — before engaging in a police chase with a driver towards Stäreplaz.

The officers observed a vehicle speeding along Boulevard de la Foire, prompting them to pursue it. When the driver realised he was being followed, he chose to head toward Stäreplaz.

With assistance from pedestrians, the police were able to locate the car, its driver, and the other passengers. A thorough examination of the vehicle revealed expired Contrôle technique (MOT) papers, and a knuckle duster was also discovered.
