On Saturday, a Schueberfouer attraction suffered a technical issue which caused a mid-ride stoppage, leaving passengers stranded in the air.

Five people were left hanging in the air on Saturday afternoon after what Luxembourg City officials described as a “minor technical incident”: the 'Top Scan' attraction stopped moving for reasons yet to be determined.

City services and fairground workers intervened to restart the ride, allowing passengers to disembark "in complete safety", according to a press release sent to the press on Sunday.

The incident did not cause any injuries and the people who remained stranded were taken care of "immediately after their descent", the City specifies.

An investigation is underway to determine the causes of this incident. The ride remains closed until further notice. 'Top Scan' will need a favourable opinion from control body “Luxcontrol” to resume its activities.
