Minister of Finance Gilles Roth confirmed plans to create a site in the capital to bring a number of tax services together in one central location, as well as other projects across the country.

In response to a parliamentary question submitted by CSV MP Diane Adehm, Roth said there were plans to rehouse a number of tax offices in a new building at the Cloche d'Or by 2026.

By 2035, a new complex for the Inland Revenue would be built in Kirchberg, with space for up to 1,500 employees. Authorities are considering a site at the junction of Avenue John F. Kennedy and Rue Erasme for the construction.

Elsewhere, the Diekirch and Ettelbruck offices are to be regrouped under a new "Nordstad Administrative Centre" in Ettelbruck by 2026, while the tax office in Differdange would be rehomed in a more modern construction in the area.

Currently, Luxembourg's tax administration is spread across 24 different sites around the country, in 17 different municipalities.
