The animal protection association FRIDA has reported widespread anger on social media following the unexplained deaths of five dogs at a boarding kennel in Luxembourg.

According to information obtained by RTL, the kennel in question is located in Käerjeng. The pets died within a short period after spending several days at the facility.

The first owner to experience a loss publicly expressed her grief and frustration on social media, warning other dog owners about the situation. Soon after, other individuals came forward, sharing similar experiences. The affected dogs reportedly died either at the kennel, at a veterinary clinic, or shortly after receiving treatment.

FRIDA confirmed to RTL that at least one pet owner has filed a police complaint against the kennel's manager.

The exact cause of the dogs' deaths remains unclear based on the available social media posts. FRIDA suspects that heat may have played a role and has criticised the kennel for overcrowding and "lying" to the owners, who "spent a considerable amount of money" to have their pets looked after "in good conditions."
