Emergency services report that a motorcyclist sustained injuries in a collision with a car in Rumelange on Tuesday evening while two other motorists had their licenses withdrawn for drink driving.

According to reports, a car was making a turn on Rue d'Esch at around 6pm on Tuesday when it collided with a motorbike. The motorcyclist was treated for a leg wound at the scene before being taken to hospital.

Police said both vehicles sustained serious damage in the crash. The Dudelange ambulance was supported by the Rumelange fire brigade in responding to the incident.

Two licences withdrawn

Elsewhere, police officers confiscated two licences from motorists caught driving under the influence. Cars in Dudelange and Esch-sur-Alzette were pulled over by separate patrols due to their erratic driving styles, and were duly punished following breathalyser tests.
