Police have issued a witness appeal after a nine-year-old girl was injured in a hit-and-run accident near a shopping centre in Potaschberg at 3.50pm on Saturday.

As the child was walking across the zebra crossing, the car, with a german number plate, reportedly drove over her foot without stopping. The young girl was taken to the hospital where she received treatment for her injuries.

Grevenmacher police are calling on the individual responsible for the accident, as well as any witnesses who may have observed the incident, to come forward. They can contact the police by calling the following number: +352 244 70 1000.
