A dramatic police chase unfolded in Luxembourg on Monday night, starting in the Gare neighbourhood of Luxembourg City and ending in Bettembourg.
The incident began when a patrol spotted a motorbike speeding through the streets of the capital.
Police pursued the motorcyclist, who fled at high speed towards Salzhof. Although officers lost sight of the motorbike temporarily, another patrol later spotted it on the A4 motorway. By this time, the motorcyclist had picked up a passenger.
The chase continued through several villages, with the motorcyclist reportedly exceeding 130 km/h on multiple occasions. They drove recklessly through bends and even entered the Bettembourg roundabout in the wrong direction.
Upon reaching Bettembourg, the motorcyclist attempted to enter a private property but lost control and fell. The police quickly apprehended the individual, discovering they were under the influence of drugs and lacked a valid licence and insurance.
Both the motorcyclist and their passenger sustained minor injuries and were taken to hospital for check-ups. The motorbike was seized, and a penalty notice was issued.
