Police stopped a number of motorists for driving under the influence overnight from Sunday to Monday.

The first incident took place on the A7 near Lorentzweiler, where a driver was spotted weaving across the road. He was pulled over by a police patrol and made to carry out a breathalyser test. As the results were positive, the man had his licence confiscated on the spot.

In Remerschen a second motorist drew attention for driving extremely slowly and then pulled over on the side of the road, leaving all the car's lights on. A nearby patrol intervened and found the driver to be well over the alcohol limit, resulting in police removing his licence as well.

Finally, in the early hours of Monday morning, police pulled over a damaged vehicle in Sanem after noticing it was travelling very slowly. The driver was found to be under the influence and promptly lost their licence.
