The town of Differdange announced on Saturday the cancellation of its National Day parade due to bad weather.

There will be no National Day parade in Differdange this year. The municipal authorities shared the news via social media on Saturday.

The parade, scheduled to depart from Place des Alliés at 7.15pm, has been called off. However, the rest of the festivities will proceed as planned, according to the municipality of Differdange.

Despite the weather conditions, revellers can therefore still celebrate National Day. Only the parade has been cancelled.

The town fair, set to take place on Place du Marché and throughout the pedestrian zone of Differdange, will start at around 8pm, following the official speeches.

The evening will feature a variety of shows and concerts, promising entertainment well into the night.
