According to a new survey published by the Chamber of Employees, about 30% of people in Luxembourg regularly worked from home in 2023.
While this number has decreased since the pandemic, remote work remains both widespread and popular. In 2023, 30% of people worked remotely, compared to 40% in 2021.
The survey found that 57% of respondents expressed a desire to work from home at least once a week, with 32% indicating they would prefer to work from home most of the time.
The survey also highlights that people are increasingly better equipped to work from home. 70% of respondents reported having the necessary equipment to perform their jobs effectively. However, there are significant differences between sectors in terms of equipment availability, and employers cover communication costs in only a quarter of cases.
Additionally, 85% of respondents stated they are able to work from home without interruption, a notable increase from 65% in 2021. The survey also revealed that only 7% of remote workers regularly take care of their children while working from home.
