HRH the Hereditary Grand Duke led a high-profile economic mission to Japan early in June, showcasing Luxembourg's commitment to strengthening international relations and paving the way for future collaborations in space exploration, aviation, and data economies.
From 10–13 June, HRH the Hereditary Grand Duke led a significant economic mission to Japan, which included 60 business representatives from Luxembourg. The mission was coordinated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Xavier Bettel, and the Minister of the Economy, Lex Delles.
Six days after the delegation returned, the Grand Ducal Court has now released its official assessment (FR), featuring 10 photos and insights from the trip, as well as four different questions answered by Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume himself. The future head of state thus emphasised the longstanding relations between the monarchies of Japan and the Grand Duchy, which will celebrate their centenary in 2027.
Luxembourg will also participate in Expo 2025 in Osaka, scheduled to take place from April to October, with its own pavilion.
In the assessment, the Hereditary Grand Duke also mentioned that numerous agreements had been signed during the trip, including initiatives in space exploration, aviation, and the data economies, though no exact details were unveiled.
