On Saturday to Sunday overnight, police officers had their hands full with several drink driving incidents, including a drunk motorcyclist.
On Saturday afternoon, the police was called to FindelAirport due to a drunk driver. Upon questioning, the man admitted that he drove his car to the airport parking. After a positive breathalyser test, the man had his license revoked.
A little while later however, the same driver was stopped by a police patrol, still behind the wheel. The Public Prosecutor's Office then decided to seize the man's car and file a complaint.
At around 8pm, the police caught another drunk-driver in Dudelange. The driver, who was stopped near his home, had to surrender his license.
Around 1am, a car in Mamer was reportedly swerving on the road. The vehicle was found later in a residential area with the driver still sat inside, asleep behind the wheel. He too had his license revoked.
At the same time, another drunk driver was reported on the A7. He already had a driving ban issued against him. Therefore, the Public Prosecutor's Office decided to file a complaint against the driver.
On the A13 around 3.30am, a motorcyclist was swerving on the road, while speeding and slowing down in an unusual pattern. The biker had indeed been drinking too much and had his license revoked.
In Clausen, a driver drew attention to himself when he drove into a parking garage too fast. The police officer on the scene conducted a breathalyser test and the driver had indeed been drinking too much.
