Liefrange27 children evacuated from Marjaashaff hostel due to fire
A fire broke out in a room at the Marjaashaff hostel, run by Caritas, on Wednesday night, leading to a mass evacuation of young residents.
Liefrange Mayor Marco Koeune told RTL the fire resulted in material damage, with no injuries reported.
All 27 young people were evacuated swiftly and brought to a local village hall.
The Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps said the fire had occurred in one of the hostel’s rooms and was put out by teams from Wiltz and Alebesch, supporting their local colleagues.
