Luxembourg's National Employment Agency is considering closing its Dudelange branch due to the building's inadequacy, with no suitable alternatives found yet, according to Labour Minister Georges Mischo.
In response to a parliamentary enquiry from the Luxembourg Socialist Workers' Party (LSAP), Labour Minister Georges Mischo recently confirmed that the Dudelange branch of the National Employment Agency (ADEM) is at risk of closure. According to the politician, analyses are currently being done to evaluate options as the building no longer corresponds to the needs and strategies of the agency.
Mischo's response further revealed that none of the alternatives offered by the Dudelange municipality were deemed acceptable. Officials are also hoping to ensure that they can find one location able to cater to all the ADEM services.
Although the agency has started looking for alternative locations in southern Luxembourg, no final decision has been taken at this stage, Mischo assured in his response. Finally, he noted that the Belval branch might be able to take over certain services in the future.
