‘Luxembourg, is home to nearly 180 nationalities, including Ukrainians. Last year’s festival showed Luxembourg’s openness to embracing diverse cultures, and we are thrilled to continue this journey together.

Through this event, we not only showcase the traditions of Ukrainian culture but also highlight the importance of embracing and exploring the cultures of all nationalities that call Luxembourg home’, says Inna Yaremenko, the VP of LUkraine asbl.

This year’s festival brings many world-known Ukrainian art projects to Luxembourg: the movie ‘Intercepted’, to be screened in cooperation with the CinEast festival and with the support of the Representation of European Commission, won a Special Award from the Ecumenical Jury in the Forum section at the 74th Berlin Film Festival.

Additionally, ‘Dovbush’, a Hollywood-level historical Ukrainian movie won the Grand Prix at the Ukrainian International Film Festival in the UK.

Collaborating with Kulturfabrik, UA Days introduces Go_A, a globally recognised electro-folk band and a top-5 finalist at the Eurovision 2021 with tracks hitting the world Billboard and Spotify charts.

It is perfect for families too, with events catering specifically for little ones. ‘Cultural Boom in Rotondes’ will offer Luxembourgish band Deep Dive Culture and Ukrainian IZZI bands in concert, Ukrainian dishes in a food court, shopping at a craft market, short films, and workshops.

The youngest attendees can explore various cultures at the ‘UA Days Kids’ event, participating in hands-on workshops, games, traditional crafts, and more.

Minister for Culture Eric Thill will join the festivities at the Rotondes.

UA Days is a charity festival, and all the money raised within the events is spent on supporting Ukraine-focused projects. Last year’s festival included 11 events in 5 cities across the country and engaged around 5000 attendees. The organisation raised more than €16,700 in donations, which were spent supporting rescue operations in the south of Ukraine after the Kakhovka dam explosion.
