The accident occurred around 4.30pm on Saturday on Route de Luxembourg in Dondelange.
The rescue teams from Kehlen and Mamer were deployed, as was the Air Rescue helicopter. The area was completely cordoned off until 8.30pm and is now open to traffic again.
At practically the same time, another motorbike accident was reported on CR132 between Syren and Moutfort. The motorcyclist was injured and treated by the rescue services from Weiler-la-Tour and Luxembourg.
