The Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) reported five accidents which took place overnight between Saturday and Sunday.

In total, the accidents left four people injured with emergency medical services needing to intervene on two occasions overall.

Shortly after midnight at 12.30am an accident occurred on the road between Pétange and Athus, leaving one person injured.

On Sunday morning at 2.40am, a car caught fire on the B40 towards Esch-sur-Alzette, between Belval and Raemerich. Half an hour later, another accident took place in the rue des Alliés in Koetschette, leaving one person injured. Emergency medical services from Rambrouch and Ettelbruck were on the scene.

At around 3.45am between Lipperscheid and Hoscheid, a person lost control of their vehicle. Emergency medical services from Bourscheid and Hosingen were on the scene.

Lastly, after 4.30am, another accident took place between Brandenburg and Weiler, which also left one person injured.

No details of the victims' conditions have been released so far.
