Sub-zero temperatures persist, and the forecasts indicate they will continue throughout the entire next week - but expect a few surprises.

Meteolux has spoken: starting Wednesday, significant snowfall is anticipated in Luxembourg and the Greater Region. In the meantime, a few snowflakes are expected this Sunday evening.

Caution is advised on the roads as ice and freezing fog may linger in certain areas, creating potentially slippery conditions. Temperatures towards the end of the weekend are expected to range between -4 and -1 degrees.

On Sunday evening, the country may experience some light snowfall, with the total snow accumulation expected to remain relatively low. This light snowfall is anticipated to gradually intensify over the next few days, with a snow cover of 2 to 4 centimeters expected on Monday. Wednesday is projected to bring heavier snowfall, with estimates ranging from 6 to 8 centimeters. Tuesday will maintain cold temperatures but with the pleasant surprise of some sunshine.

Throughout the week, temperatures are forecast to not exceed 0 degrees, and are anticipated to drop even further from Friday onward, with expected freezing temperatures ranging between -9 and -7 degrees.
