The former CSV MP and Luxembourg City municipal councillor, Ferny Nicklaus-Faber, has passed away at the age of 86.

Ferny Nicklaus-Faber was born in Luxembourg City in 1937. She was elected to the municipal council in her birthplace for the first time in 1993, and also served as an MP in the Chamber of Deputies from 1994 to 2004.

In the 1994 legislative elections, Nicklaus-Faber was elected directly to parliament, which was not the case in 1999, when she took over a seat in the Chamber in November following the death of MP Alphonse Theis.

Nicklaus-Faber's obituary appeared in the Wort newspaper on Thursday.
