A 53-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene following a fall from a roof on Thursday morning.
The tragic incident took place in Hesperange at around 8am on Thursday. The man was working on a slate roof on rue Edouard Oster when he slipped and fell to the ground in a courtyard at the rear side of the building, several metres below.
"Despite the medical treatment administered, the 53-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident," the Grand Ducal police confirmed on Thursday afternoon.
The four-storey building has a slate roof, which was fully renovated in October, according to reports.
