Employees at the American plastics giant have been on strike since Monday morning at 6am.
According to the Independent Luxembourg Trade Union Confederation (OGBL), Ampacet employees are striking due to disagreements over a new collective labour agreement at Ampacet. These negotiations unfolded since spring to no success. Employees are calling for a 2.5% pay rise and three additional days of holiday.
During summer, the approximatively 60 employees at Ampacet found their collective bargaining agreement annulled. The company initiated a conciliation process, but no agreement has been reached so far.
On Monday afternoon at 12pm, the OGBL will hold a press conference.
