According to the most recent calculations, the National Health Fund (CNS) expects it will be unable to cover costs through contributions next year.

Although the CNS recently confirmed a surplus in funds for 2023, in part due to advanced indexation and lower expenses than predicted, next year is likely to see a deficit of over 50 million euros.

Just under 970,000 people will be covered by the CNS in 2024, two thirds of whom are residents in Luxembourg, while the rest live abroad.
