Prime Minister Luc Frieden, Deputy Prime Minister Xavier Bettel, and the remaining 13 ministers from the Christian Social People's Party (CSV) and the Democratic Party (DP) convened at the Grand Ducal Palace on Friday morning for their official swearing-in ceremony.
Later in the day, the traditional passing of powers ceremony will take place, marking the symbolic transfer of keys from outgoing officials to their newly appointed counterparts.
The coalition agreement between the DP and the CSV was formally signed on Thursday. Luc Frieden, alongside Xavier Bettel and Claude Wiseler, disclosed initial details of the agreement during a subsequent press conference. Additional specifics are expected to be revealed on Monday when the agreement undergoes approval by the new government council. It will then be submitted to the Chamber of Deputies and simultaneously made public. Prime Minister Frieden is scheduled to deliver a government declaration in the Chamber of Deputies on Wednesday.
The swearing-in ceremony will be broadcast live on RTL Télé and streamed live on RTL.lu, with commentary provided in Luxembourgish, starting at 10am.
