On Wednesday evening, the Democratic Party (DP) presented the key points of the coalition agreement to its members.

Xavier Bettel, sharing the outcome, stated that the DP committees unanimously gave the green light to the coalition agreement. It is not yet known who will chair the DP parliamentary group, with Bettel explaining that this will be up to the party's MPs to decide.

These are the new DP ministers

The confirmed details include Xavier Bettel assuming the roles of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, with added responsibilities for Foreign Trade and the Greater Region.

Introducing a new face to the DP lineup, Stéphanie Obertin, a general practitioner, steps into the roles of managing research, higher education, and digitalisation.

Meanwhile, Eric Thill, the current Mayor of Schieren, is set to become the Minister of Culture and Minister Delegate for Tourism.

Claude Meisch retains his position as Minister of Education and expands his portfolio to include Housing and Spatial Planning.

Yuriko Backes takes on the roles of Minister of Defence, Equality between Women and Men, as well as responsibilities for Mobility and Public Works.

Max Hahn continues overseeing Family Affairs and adds Immigration to his portfolio, extending his responsibilities to include the National Reception Centre (ONA).

Finally, Lex Delles assumes control over the Economy, Energy, and Tourism portfolios in this newly unveiled government lineup.
