The fixed radar positioned at the entrance of the Micheville tunnel, beneath Belval, will enter its “enforcement phase” starting Monday, October 16th. According to the Administration of Bridges and Roads, this radar will be active in the direction of France, in addition to the one already operational in the direction of Luxembourg. As a result, cross-border drivers must be vigilant about their speed in both directions.
The maximum permitted speed on this stretch of the B40 is 70 km/h. Similar to other Luxembourg radars, there will be a tolerance of 3 km/h (for speeds under 100 km/h) and 3% (for speeds over 100 km/h), which will be subtracted from the recorded speed.
