After an unusual stretch of summery weather, Luxembourg and its neighbouring regions are bracing for a significant temperature drop starting this Saturday.
Following an unexpectedly warm September, October kicked off with an even more remarkable warm spell, with temperatures surpassing 20°C in the Grand Duchy for several days. This unseasonal warmth will persist through Friday, with highs reaching up to 25°C across the country.
However, the summer-like conditions are set to give way as autumn makes a return from Saturday onward. Mornings will see temperatures dip below 10°C, and afternoons will not exceed 20°C, accompanied by a few scattered raindrops.

In the French Lorraine region, temperatures will stabilise on Saturday, with afternoon highs not surpassing 14°C. The mornings will be cooler, reaching 5°C on Sunday, and the day will remain brisk, peaking at 12°C. Clear skies and moderate winds are expected.
In Belgium, the Royal Meteorological Institute anticipates the return of significantly cooler air on Saturday, with maximum temperatures ranging from 10 to 15 degrees. This pattern continues on Sunday, with temperatures in the province of Luxembourg hovering between 7 to 12°C.
