On an election poster, vandals placed a hole in the head of minister and Greens candidate Sam Tanson. A complaint has been filed, after the incident caused concern among party members.

A hole akin to a gunshot was found on a Green Party election poster in the area of Grousbous. The placement of the hole through the forehead of Sam Tanson, the party's lead candidate in the upcoming parliamentary elections, represents violent imagery, while metal fragments were said to have been found beside the poster, suggesting the hole was made with a weapon.

The Green Party published their reaction to the incident on their Facebook page for the Northern district, writing of their shock and concern at the defacement of the poster. "This is a hate-incitement that has reached a whole new level."

In their post, the party urges people who do not agree with their politics to use their vote, and to please leave their guns at home.

On Monday at noon, party members met to discuss the follow-up to this incident, where they have decided to file an official complaint.
