The Nature and Forest Agency has confirmed the presence of a wolf in the eastern region of the country through an official statement.

Over the past fortnight, the agency has received two distinct reports. Accompanying these reports were photographs and a video documenting the wolf's presence in both Echternach and Beaufort. The conclusive assessment by the agency affirms the unmistakable identification of the animal as a wolf. However, it remains uncertain if the wolf sighted in both locations is the same animal.

This occurrence marks the fourth instance this year in which the presence of a wolf has been verified within Luxembourg's borders.
