On Sunday afternoon, witnesses alerted the police about a man spotted on Rue de Strasbourg in Luxembourg City, reportedly armed with a knife.

In response, police officers launched an investigation to locate and apprehend the individual.

Subsequently, the man was found and arrested by the police. However, upon closer examination, it was determined that he was not carrying a knife as initially reported.

Seeing as he had already been reported in the course of the morning and the potential threat posed to both his own safety and public order, the man was placed in a cell to sober up.
