Police have issued a warning after people reported being contacted and threatened by so-called 'contract killers'.
Scammers seem to have found a new method of enticing good-natured people into handing over money: By posing as contract killers.
According to reports, several individuals in Luxembourg have recently been threatened by these alleged 'hit men', who say they will not follow through with their contracts and even offer information on the initiators in exchange for money.
Police have now issued a warning in relation to these scams, which are commonly made via email. Authorities recommend that recipients refrain from replying, block the respective sender, and alert the police.
