The municipality of Luxembourg City has released a statement to provide voters with some final pieces of information ahead of the upcoming municipal election on Sunday 11 June, including the locations of 14 new offices.

The upcoming elections will be a logistical challenge for the municipality of Luxembourg City: with 88 offices, there will be 14 more than during the 2017 elections. As in other towns, the Luxembourg City election offices will be open between 8am and 2pm.

People that cannot vote in person on the day of the election will have to inform authorities in written form. Excused from the election are people above the age of 75 and those who recently moved to a different municipality.

Luxembourg City officials have noted that all election offices are accessible to people with reduced mobility. Also, a special bus will help voters get to their election office if need be. While the 'Walbus' ('election bus') is free of charge, people need to register in advance up to and including Friday 9 June. They can do so via phone (4796-3845) from Monday to Saturday between 8am and 6pm.
