The emergency services quickly intervened after a fire broke out in Esch-sur-Alzette on Friday afternoon.

According to reports, a house caught fire on Cité Verte in Esch, a street located near the A4 motorway, at around 3.45pm. The fire is said to have started in an annexe. The house was empty at the time.

Emergency services confirmed that no one was injured. Fire fighting crews from Esch-sur-Alzette and Dudelange worked quickly to put the fire out, accompanied by an ambulance.

Several roads including the CR110, route d' Ehlerange and rue Jos Kieffer were inaccessible or partially blocked during the intervention.
