The OGBL and LCGB unions say Husky Technologies in Dudelange has signed a job protection plan for 155 employees.

Following the announcement of potential job cuts at Husky earlier this month, the trade unions have now confirmed a job protection plan until 31 December, concerning 155 employees.

During this time there will be no licenses for economic reasons, and staff will undergo re-training in accordance with the plan.

The company will also regularly monitor the situation in special follow-up meetings with the Employment Agency (ADEM).

In a press release published on Friday, the OGBL and LCGB praised the commitment from the unions and the relevant ministries in agreeing the job protection plan. The meetings were scheduled quickly following the announcement that the injection mould specialist had decided to slash jobs in Luxembourg.
