A serious accident occurred at a farm, in the north of Luxembourg.

According to the police, a farm worker fell into an almost empty slurry tank around 4.30 pm on Monday afternoon.

In addition to the fall, the worker inhaled toxic gases and had to receive first aid on the spot, before being airlifted to the hospital.

The police drew up a report on the accident and informed the public prosecutor's office. An officer from the Labour and Mines Inspectorate was also sent to the scene.
