The Luxembourg Directorate of Defence announced on Saturday that fourteen armoured ambulances will be shipped to aid the Ukrainian war effort.
The donation is being made with the assistance of the LUkraine non-profit and its 'Ukraine is Calling' campaign.
The vehicles are Pinzgauer 6x6 models, specially purposed as ambulances suitable for war zones by the Venari Group in the United Kingdom.
Eight of the vehicles were presented to Minister of Defence François Bausch on Thursday.
Bausch said: "These 14 ambulances, highly coveted by the Ukrainian authorities, will save the lives not only of soldiers but also of civilians who are in the regions scarred by the conflict."
The total cost of the Luxembourg donation to the Ukrainian front has however not been communicated in the press statement.
