Two weeks after a devastating earthquake hit Turkey and Syria, Luxembourg's Humanitarian Intervention Team will send two new members to support the local rescue efforts.
The search for survivors has by now been abandoned in most places, but authorities in Istanbul announced that there are still 40 buildings that need to be searched.
Meanwhile, Syria has opened its borders to let 14 support vehicles sent by the United Nations to enter the country on Sunday.

Luxembourg's Ministry for Home Affairs has published a statement (FR) to announce that both members of the Humanitarian Intervention Team of the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDSI), initially deployed on 7 and 9 February, will be replaced.
