A first meeting was held this week between all the actors concerned, namely the ministry, the hospitals, the gynaecologists and the midwives.
The midwives in particular found the meeting positive, and now expect a working group to be formed in the coming weeks.
Given the situation will probably not change in the short term, all births planned in the Bertrange birth centre have been transferred to the homes of future parents.
The Ministry has been informed of the temporary solution for the mothers and the midwives until further action is taken.
