
In the afternoon, all waters will drop again, except for the Lower Sûre, which will reach its peak in Diekirch and Bollendorf on Sunday evening.

The official meteorological service in Luxembourg issued an orange alert for the southern half of the country for “minor flooding and local damage” until Tuesday 00:59.
The northern half of Luxembourg remains under yellow alert. The pre-warning level was exceeded on Saturday night in Ettelbruck. But according to the forecasts, the alert level should not be exceeded.

The situation in the Moselle region is different: the water rises much slower and the level can still be regulated to some extent. Flooding at the Moselle is expected from Monday to Tuesday.
Mersch is expected to reach pre-warning levels of 350 centimeters this morning, with levels dropping again in the course of the day.

In Diekirch, the Sûre continuously rose in the past few hours reaching the pre-warning level at 8.30 am.

According to Jean-Paul Lickes of the water management office, maritime traffic could be temporarily disrupted in the long term.
Another warning concerning gusts between 65 and 70 km/h crossing the country is in place until this Sunday 6 pm. Similar gusts are expected again on Monday from 3pm to 8pm.

Météolux issued a yellow alert for the whole country from Monday 7 am until Monday 6 pm. A layer of snow (approximately 1 to 2 centimeters and 5 centimeters in the north) is expected to cover the country.
