The draft law will improve quality standards in an attempt to guarantee clean drinking water. The list of potentially harmful substances has therefore also been updated. According to Greens MP Jessie Thill, this will help minimise risks along the supply chain.

A special label has been created to reward municipalities with pioneering policies.
The draft law also seeks to improve information on the accessibility of water, as well as work on the prevention of water leaks.
