On Monday morning, Minister for Mobility and Public Works François Bausch unveiled details about the latest tram extension, including the approximate location of two new stops.

The Luxembourg City tram network was recently extended to Bonnevoie, but two new sections still remain in development at this point in time: the routes to Findel airport and to Cloche d'Or.

The project addressed by Minister Bausch on Monday morning, however, is not linked to these extensions. It is a new route that will allow the tram to serve other parts of the capital.

The Greens politician thus confirmed that Luxtram is still working on a respective study. In this context, the Minister assured that, whatever the chosen route, "crossings" for pedestrians and cyclists are planned.

Finally, he confirmed that the creation of two new stops is also being envisaged: "The first will be on Boulevard Royal and the second one on Avenue de la Porte Neuve. The exact location has yet to be determined."
