Following tunnel collapseMore buses to run between Clervaux and Ettelbruck

RTL Today
CFL will increase services between Clervaux and Ettelbruck following the collapse of the train tunnel, which will bring a halt to train services for months to come.

After the collapse of the Schieburg tunnel, between Wiltz and Kautenbach in August, CFL will offer a number of alternatives to travellers from 12 September.

Direct buses will circulate between Clervaux and Ettelbruck every hour from Monday, with journeys set to last around 42 minutes.

In addition, there will be hourly shuttle buses between Clervaux and Kautenbach, with a journey time of around 34 minutes.

The RGTR bus services will also be temporarily deployed to transport passengers, while Park and Ride facilities alongside the N7 road will be reorganised to improve bus access. The bus services will also have an adapted timetable to bring them in line with the affected train services.

CFL will hold a press briefing on Tuesday to share further information on the tunnel. It is highly unlikely that the tunnel will reopen before mid-December.
