
It’s a fierce combo of weather warnings today.
Meteolux have issued a high alert for the scorching temperatures expected between 1am and 7pm on Thursday. The thermometer will indicate 32°C-35°C, with temperatures exceeding 35°C in the Moselle Valley.
The weather agency advises residents to close their windows and shutters to keep out the sun and hot outdoor air, stay hydrated, avoid going outside between 11am-9pm (the warmest hours), and to limit physical activity.
On Thursday evening, the heatwave will collapse into thunderstorms and rainfall, with gusts up to 80 km/h and the possibility of local hail. A yellow alert is in place until5am on Friday morning.
Temperatures will drop on Friday and over the weekend, with max. 27°C.
All in all: work from home if you can, avoid going outside, and eat lots of ice cream - you are excused.
